Hello Everyone
Well, did you notice it? Summer, I mean. We took long enough waiting for it, then after a couple of hot days it disappeared. At least I suppose that was Summer. It was over before it began. I was hoping to carry out a few jobs that needed warmth and fine weather as well as having a brief holiday by the sea. Fat chance of that.
The Knot-okay corral was completed except for the sealing of the roof. All was ready to do that job, then you can guess what happened. Summer was over and the roof was not sealed. And they call this Global Warming. Let’s just call it ‘Climate Change’.
One sobering thought about that is that no one will ever claim responsibility for that change. We are all partly to blame, but more so the ‘civilised’ tech advanced nations. And would we be prepared to give up our technological society? Of course not. Its not only Summer that is over – the freedom to misuse our environment is also over. It will only get worse and more expensive to continue in the same vein, but you can almost hear the plea that there is nothing we can do to stop it. Only governments have the clout, but are they likely to do anything about it except talk? Cooperation at all levels is required, including doing our own little bit. So until it gets further along the line of ‘disaster’, then there will be much moaning (like this) but little else. Unless you live in Carolina!
